Supination, Under
pronation, and High Arches

Signs:
  • Soles show excessive wear along the outer heel and outer toe box near the pinky toe.

How It May Feel:
  • Outer Foot Pain – Strain or pressure along the outer edge of the foot, especially when walking or running.

  • Ankle Instability – A sense of unsteadiness, increasing the risk of ankle sprains.

  • High Arch Discomfort – Tightness or tension in the arch, sometimes leading to pain.

  • Heel or Achilles Pain – Discomfort or stiffness in the Achilles tendon and heel, particularly after activity.

  • Shin Pain or Shin Splints – Dull, aching pain along the shinbone due to impact stress.

  • Knee or Hip Pain – Misalignment can cause strain in the knees or hips.

  • Calluses or Blisters on the Outer Foot – Uneven pressure may lead to skin irritation.

  • Uneven Walking or Running – The foot may not absorb shock properly, making movement feel imbalanced.

  • Less Ground Contact – A sensation of walking on the outer edges of the feet rather than distributing weight evenly.

  • Harder Landings – Steps may feel jarring due to poor shock absorption.

  • Soles show excessive wear along the inner edge, from the big toe to the ball of the foot.

How It May Feel:
  • Inner Foot & Arch Pain – A dull ache or soreness along the arch and inner side of the foot due to overstretching.

  • Ankle Discomfort or Weakness – A feeling of instability or strain on the inner ankle.

  • Knee Pain – Dull or sharp pain, often on the inner knee, caused by misalignment.

  • Hip or Lower Back Pain – Discomfort in the hips and lower back due to improper posture and gait.

  • Heel Pain (Plantar Fasciitis) – A sharp, stabbing pain in the heel, especially in the morning or after standing for long periods.

  • Shin Splints – Throbbing or aching pain along the shinbone from excessive impact.

  • Calluses or Blisters on the Inner Foot – Uneven pressure can lead to skin irritation.

  • Fatigue in Feet & Legs – Legs may feel tired or heavy, even after moderate walking.

  • Poor Shock Absorption – Movements may feel inefficient or slightly awkward due to improper weight distribution.

  • Running Feels Harder on the Joints – Discomfort in the knees, hips, or lower back, especially after longer runs.
